Your Witness means More Than You Realize.

None of us would want our worst moments to be broadcast around the world. Famous or not, each of us can likely remember a time when we weren’t living up to all God would have us be. We all need examples from time to time to help us see where true forgiveness, growth, meaning, and life can be found. That’s what makes personal WITNESS truly more important than we often realize.

For many years Ben Roethlisberger hasn’t just began his post game interviews with the phrase “I’d like to thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ” he has actively grown as a disciple in front of the members of Steelers nation who observe closely. His daily and consistent personal growth is the thing that is most inspiring to many of us. For more than 10 years “Big Ben” has been open about his renewed commitment to Christ, to his wife Ashley and their three children, participating in Christian small groups, and has made public statements about his faith for the benefit of others.

“That’s what I’m trying to do now. I’m trying to be a better Christian than I am athlete and football player. I push myself to do that every day.”

Ben Roethlisberger

Conversion. Growth. Witness. For these things, we join the chant that rightly erupted during his final game at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh: “THANK YOU BEN!”
